My flatmates are having a cheese party this evening. I’m a little bit excited, and soon off to buy millions of breads, crackers, and fun things.

There’s nowhere in the world I want to visit more than Iceland. Making the most tentative of plans to go in 2012 (or 2013 depending on finances but that’s so far away!).

3. Illustrator and animator Julia Pott. I’ve loved her work for ages but never posted about it – til now! Chances are you already know her work, especially her ridiculously sweet animated short My First Crush. Check out her blog or etsy for more awesome stuff, but what I REALLY wanted to show you is her illustration of a red panda! The best I have seen. Would make an excellent tattoo.

I found more tiered goodness today at Kate Sylvester. They didn’t actually have this dress in stock – I was informed by the sales girl only a person who is 6 ft tall & 10kg could carry it off – but it is the best of their petal-y things.

That’s just about one of the nicest jumpsuits I’ve seen, and I love the colours, textures and shapes of the outfit on the right. Don’t know what happened to the quality of the pictures though, oops sorry!

Today I also tortured myself by trying on this Hi There by Karen Walker version of the Emilie Frock Coat:

Of course I’d prefer this blue one below but the grey is $600 cheaper. Oh my. And look, Zooey has one too. Sigh, it made me look so fancy!

Not that I’ll be getting any! I have far too many coats already though none this pretty. But the main reason is of course a very distinct lack of funds!

Her etsy store is here and her blog can be found here. She sells lovely, quite simple and “tailored for a modern fit” vintage clothing. Yesterday I fell HEAD OVER HEELS for this dress.

It’s the prettiest icecream coloured petal tiered concoction (I use that word too often)! It’s not in the store yet but I fear the price will be too high for me. Boohoo. I’m also 100% sure it wouldn’t fit, but if you buy it for me I’ll still be your best friend.

And as it happened, I was looking at this earlier this week:

And then of course, there’s this picture, which I had saved on my computer before I even knew I loved Zooey Deschanel. I think it’s from Lula magazine? The moment I saw it I began to pine for a skirt like it.

In summation, tiered + scalloped + ice cream colours + Zooey = I need, this minute.
