More to come soon but an unphotographed (no cameras allowed, boo!) highlight was catching an LA Derby Dolls game. Amazing girls, so speedy, so tough, they fall so hard and get back up so fast.

I was stuck for posts and realised I’d never posted any of our photo booth pictures from our wedding, plus we just had our 6 month anniversary.  Yeah, we made it to six months! Suck on that Britney!

I think our wedding photos are beautiful but I almost prefer these since I didn’t have to worry about making serious-but-happy-bride-faces (and you can see in the other pictures how uncomfortable I was!).

Looking at these makes me miss a lot of people. And if you didn’t make it into this post, it doesn’t mean I don’t love you. It just means you weren’t enough of a camwhore. I hope you learned your lesson.

One day I’d like to have a little place like this to write, play board games and drink endless cups of tea, wherever I go.

I had a wonderful few days in Auckland this week. Hanging with my parents, catching up with old friends, cooking for twelve, eating my way across the city, feeding red pandas (again!) and going behind the scenes at the zoo.

I just found out that because of Jason’s work commitments our road trip has been pushed forward, we’re leaving in only three months! Here is what this means:

- It is going to be SO hot. I am not going to be able to handle August temperatures!
- I need to save my pennies and to stop having so much fun now, in order to have more fun later.
- We will likely move out of our flat. :(
- We’ll be there for my birthday, which is awesome but it means Jason probably won’t be able to make me a rainbow cake. And it’ll be the first year in a really long time I won’t be having some kind of party (actually I’ll probably just have one before we go). Now I get to think about where I want to be for it, maybe Austin? New Orleans? SO EXCITING!

I’m sorry I don’t know who own the photo, let me know if you do. I think it might be the best cake in the world.

Speaking of our US road trip, is anyone out there living in the states and keen to meet up around October when we drive across your country? It would be more than marvelous to get a few tips on where we should go. So far we’re looking at San Francisco, Vegas, Austin, New Orleans and then either onto Florida & Charleston or up to Nashville, then East Coast. And I also want to go to Mexico and Montreal. But obviously there’s so many places in between the one’s I’ve listed, it’s so hard to decide! America is huge! So if anyone has any tips that’d be so great. I’m so excited! Which you can probably tell by my overuse of exclamation marks! xx

Last week we had a party themed around the letter K to celebrate Kim moving into our flat. Can you tell who I am? The little friend on my broom is the main giveaway. I bought him in Japan before I even knew what he had to do with! Two years later I’m watching a movie and there he is onscreen, I love it.

Jason set up our photobooth for the occasion, it’s going to be excellent for all our future parties. Kim has lots of pictures on her blog if you’re nosey.

Then things got super fun and crazy. I was going to dig out more party photos but I’m tired so I’ll leave you with this gem. There’s some great photobooth pictures I gotta post too but that’s Future Kate’s problem now! (Damn you past Kate! – Future Kate)

Oh! And. Huge kudos to Pia who made the amazing & delicious cake! And to my bridesmaid Emma who made my dress in the midst of starting flight school – whatta gal! While we’re here, all of my bridesmaids Emma, Jane, Caitlin, Natalie and Liz – the best, cheeriest and most helpful bunch of ladies ever. Thanks also our flatmates for putting up with the crazy and being the bee’s knees. To Jason’s groomspeople Fiona and Sebastian for a hilarious speech and so much support. And to ALL our friends and family (but especially Ma & Pa), for all the help they gave us and for making our wedding day AMAZING with their AMAZINGNESS. I’ve never felt so loved and I’m full up with gratitude and happy. Seriously, best day ever.

We can now return to our regular broadcasting schedule! What a relief.
