Last thursday evening I had the divine pleasure of attending a tea party thrown to celebrate / commiserate my descent / ascent into married land. One month from today you guys! T’was masterminded and decorated by the amazing (and obviously major stylist material) Lizzie, with help from other bridesmaids Jane, Natalie and Emma (although Caitlin sadly couldn’t make it to Wellington – miss you!). Beautiful photos are by Jason, who was promptly kicked out after these were taken.
I heart my friends!

Ohhh, you look beautiful! xx
What a wonderful bachelorette party! A perfect girls moment, shared with your friends… that’s a good way to get ready for your weading!
How dreamy! I hope my party is as wonderful as yours looks!!
So lovely, looks like a movie…..
Looks like you had an amazing time! Special girl time before your wedding is the best.
miss you!! wish I could have been there, but my spirit was there, staring at the cupcakes and smelling the tea <3

Hello Kate,
I’m an avid reader of your blog and just a few days ago, I decided to look through all of your posts again and as you can see, I’m all the back to January 2010, that’s 25 pages! I am seriously in awe of your posts and you really find such inspirational subjects to write about. Your travels and wedding photos make me happy. I must say I am so in awe of your bridal shower/bachelorette photos. Whoa. The photography is stunning. It looks like the photographer used a soft focus lens or something? I don’t know. But I love this effect, seriously. You and Jason had a beautiful wedding, truly. Thanks for continually inspiring me! Have a good week!
xoxo,
Avalonne
Hi Avalonne, thanks for your comment! Glad you like the photos! Jason took them using a piece of tulle in front of the camera, much cheaper than a soft focus lens. ;) I recently found your blog and adore it, so your comment’s made me really happy! Ahh! x
Hey Kate, thanks for mentioning my blog a few days ago! It made me smile! Oh I don’t know why I didn’t realize. I’ve taken photos with tulle in front of the lens before! Well I first came across this technique on Australia’s Next Top Model! I do love my Top Model series! Seriously these photos are beautiful!
