I’m a bit crazy over nail polish these days. Maybe I’m turning into a girl or something? Cos despite the amount of frothy dresses I post on here, lately I’m likely to be found in docs and my Deborah Sweeney racecar hoodie (I’m such a bogan).
Of course most of the nail colours I like aren’t particularly girly. Probably the girliest above is the lilac shade this post is titled for, which I picked up this week and is my new favourite ugly-pretty colour. I can’t wait for the matte colours to arrive in New Zealand – has anyone spotted them? Here’s Karen O killing it with her black matte nails. Look, her nails are deep set, like mine! That’s where the similarities end, unfort for me.

You have just solved one of my dilemmas. I’ve been hunting for mint green nail polish for what seems like a lifetime. More like 2 weeks but you know. It’s amazing. I actually have nails to paint! XX
I haven’t seen the matte black yet, much to my despair (and I monitor a beauty cupboard at a mag frequently, no signs there either). At the moment I am completely head over heels in love with lilac and mint as nail colours! Spring!

OPI has the best brushes and staying power and colours! SO you’re onto a winner.
I have the It Colour and Done Out in Deco. Done Out in Deco makes me feel like eating my fingers whenever I have it on. As for the It Colour, I once wore it to a meeting and was accused of having jaundice :(

OPI is the best brand. I always like pale pink or dark red! Fail proof :)

Your blog is so lovely and I love the name! I don’t really have any favorites I guess. I have a random mismatched collection of whatever I like.
I haven’t painted my nails in ages, I feel I should now! I tend to favour shades of pink.
Hey katie – I LOVE OPI. I actually got the black matte done a couple of weeks ago. Its cool but also strange. I think if I was to chose above I’d go with the yellow and the lilac. xx

Oh I am LOVING dark colours this autumn- dark purple, black , grey etc.. i find Nail INC to be just the best ones , when it comes to how they work on my nails..
One of my new favourite brands is Model’s Own they’ve only been on the market for a little while but I found a few that I really love (red’n'black, in the navy and raspberry crush)

I’ve been ueber obsessed with nailpolish lately, as well, and have been tempted by black, though in an effort to not appear goth, have stuck to Chanel’s Vendetta…but I am SO buying the black matte nailpolish Karen O’s sporting, when I get paid again…thanks! and love the blog : )
