New old gifts from old friends

When we graduated highschool in 2001 my oldest friend Natalie had the prestigious honour of being voted the most likely to get married. She came to visit me while I was in Auckland and declaring she had failed, handed the lovely sash on to me! “The saddest part is that I still had it”, she said.

My second oldest friend Jane came out to dinner with us that night and asked me if I wanted this vintage dress she didn’t wear. Of course! I didn’t realise it would fit me until days later and I’m so thrilled because it’ll be perfect with a giant crinoline for our 1950s housewife engagement party!
